Why go forward with a store opening during this time? 

 After curating a Tarin Thomas shop-in-shop in the Hamptons since 2019, I got an opportunity through Brookfield Properties to have my very first standalone store in the West Village, and given the holiday season, it seemed like perfect timing, something that is quite scarce this year! I knew it would be a challenge during these crazy times, but it also felt so right to have my first store in one of my neighborhoods.

 What is the value is in having a Tarin Thomas store? 

 Having my own Tarin Thomas store presents such an exciting opportunity to personally connect with all of my old and new customers.  We have had our online business for over 7 years now and to be able to invite people in to the store to experience the pieces and Tarin Thomas brand is an amazing way to evolve my brand and give our customers the chance to touch and feel and have a more intimate experience with the product.  It’s always been my dream to have my own brick and mortar and I’m so grateful it is happening.

Elaborate on the “concept” of the store and its inspiration? 

 The concept of the store is to showcase my jewelry and give our customers the Tarin Thomas lifestyle experience.  I moved to New York City over 10 years ago, I attended Parsons, always lived in Lower East side, but explored all different neighborhoods, I gained my love for vintage shopping and ate my way around the city, late nights out and early evenings at galleries.  This space is a collection of my New York experiences. It has been really amazing to bring the store to life and merchandise it is a home that showcases my whole New York City story, filled with some of my favorite things and products from some not only collaborators but friends.
